Louise Harris, 2013
Limited edition of 10, signed and dated by the artist.
Sculpture felted with Icelandic and merino wool, with PVC plinth 90 x 90 x 90mm, made especially for The Container.
This work is part of an ongoing project, involving other sculptural pieces and larger wall based work that investigates a specific verse from the King James Bible, and which encapsulates the artist´s antagonistic response to Catholic ideologies:
´And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin.´
The artist is concurrently engaged in work involving other themes with specific discrete media.
Louise Harris is a British artist living and working in Reykjavík. She studied at The Ruskin School and Goldsmiths and exhibits in London and Reykjavík.
